The ASSIST (Assessment and Assessment of the Local Economy) project, which is supported by the Ministry of Finance and Planning in Egypt, is a comprehensive approach to assess the local economy and identify potential challenges and opportunities for development in various sectors. The project involves collecting data from various sources such as businesses, households, and government institutions, and using this data to develop an assessment of the local economy.
In our case, Cancelo’s ASSIST data at Al Hilal provides us with valuable insights into the local economy. Our assessment reveals that Al Hilal has a diversified economy with a mix of industries including agriculture, manufacturing, and service sector. However, we also identified some challenges facing the local economy, including a lack of access to finance, low productivity, and weak infrastructure.
One of the challenges identified by the ASSIST data at Al Hilal is the lack of access to finance.
